Which Brand to Buy?
There are countless brands and tons of styles. So how do you choose? Brands like AppleCheeks, Blueberry, and Bumgenius, have cult followings and print "collectors." Others, like Alva and Eco Cloth are known for being big money savers and for having the largest selection of prints available. I've included pictures and descriptions of some of the most commonly used brands. If you're interested in any, click the link below the picture to go to their product page.
Canada made. AppleCheeks is one of the few brands that offer sized diapers, including a size 3 (30 - 65+lbs).

Bumgenius is probably the most popular brand boasting a variety of styles from covers to AIO.

USA made and sourced. Blueberry puts a huge emphasis on safety (even using latex free elastics).

No one can tell you what brand will be right for you though. The trick is finding a diaper that is a good fit for you little one. Be cautioned that a great fit for one of your children, doesn't guarantee that it'll be a great fit for another. For example, I wanted so much to love AppleCheeks with their cute ruffled elastics that I was disappointed when the fit was wonky on Dax. They were too big for Willow at the time, but now they're adorable on her. I traded for some Thirsties once because I wanted to try something new and I just wasn't moved, but they make great back ups for my purse.
USA made. Cover style AI2 with hourglass inserts in either hemp, bamboo, or MF.

I always tell people not to put all of their eggs in one basket. Buy a few kinds to try out. Don't commit to exclusively one brand until you've had a chance to test it on your child. You might not like it and then you're stuck. On the bright side, it's easy to resell or trade diapers if you end up with something you're not happy with.
Buttons were rated best value diapers by Fluff Love with their AI2 costing only $11.50.

I've tried lots of diapers and take it from me, I've found little, if any, differences in quality between higher end and "china cheapies." In fact, a majority of my stash is made up of china cheapies from eco cloth that have been serving me well for over 1.5 years. So if you're cloth diapering to save money, splurging on big name brands thinking you're investing in something better might not actually be worth it. Besides, with prints like Star Wars, Harry Potter, & Pokemon who can say no?
Eco Cloth and Alva both countless pocket diaper prints ranging from $4-6 as well. They also sell diaper covers, swim diapers, cloth pull ups, inserts, flats, fitteds, and more. They're made in China but that doesn't mean they're bad diapers or unsafe. You can read more about that here.
Fluff Love University also has a amazing Cloth Diaper Brand Index containing information on nearly 130 types of diapers and ranking them on things such as quality, absorption, budget friendliness, and even cuteness. The index also lists their price, country of origin, materials, and anything else worthy of note. It's definitely a great resource!
